Data Recovery for Mac allows you to recover lost data safely and thoroughly from Mac computer, including pictures, documents, videos, songs, email and more.

3 different recovery modes are available to recover your lost data from Mac and other removable devices. Let’s check the steps one by one.

First, download Data Recovery for Mac, then run it on your Mac computer after the installation finished, then you’ll get the interface below.

Please note: don't install it on the disk where you need to recover data from, in case you overwrite the lost data.

Fast Recovery

After clicking on the "Fast Recovery", you'll see the interface below:

Here, you need to first choose a logical drive where you lost your files or add a disk image by clicking on the “Add Image” button.

Then click on the drop-down list at the interface bottom to set specific file types to scan, such as photos, videos, documents, etc. And then hit on the "Scan" to search for lost file.

When the scan finishes, check the files you want to recover and then hit “Recover”button to recover them.

Tip: If you want to recover the data next time, you can save the current scanning result by clicking on the “Save” button and then save the scanning for data recovery next time.

Select a safe drive to store data you need to recover.

Click Open to start final recovering.

Tip: You can select “All” file types in the drop-down list to recover all data at a time.

Format & Drive Recovery

After clicking on the "Format & Drive Recovery", you'll see the interface as below:

Choose the drive which you format it or lose partitions, and start to scan.

Tip: The file systems are all checked by default, if you want to recover data from specific file system, you can uncheck others.

After scanning finished, please check the files you want to perform the final recovery.

Raw Data Recovery

After clicking on the "Raw Data Recovery", you'll get the interface below:

Select a drive that you want to recover files from and hit on the "Scan" to find lost files.

Before scanning, you can choose to scan all file types or only scan for specific deleted files such as pictures, songs, videos, documents, etc. to save time.

What is more, you can even set the specified file formats to recover, such as rmvb, mp4, avi, etc.

After the scan, you can preview and recover the files you need. Check the file and click to "Recover"

Resume Recovery

Hit on the "Resume Recovery" on the main interface to import the previous saved scanning result file.

Then you can directly preview all recoverable data and check to recover the file you need to a safe drive.
